Jacksonville Jaguars unveil 'no-nonsense' uniforms, helmets for 2018

The Jaguars also unveiled their new Nike Vapor Untouchable uniforms, which consist of three jersey options that include black, teal and white colors. The thing that's important for me in thinking about this uniform is the connect.

The Jaguars' new helmets feature a high-gloss black paint.

"True to our current identity and what we want to represent for years to come, our new uniforms are no-nonsense, all business and unmistakably Jaguars", owner Shahid Khan said in a statement.

Jaguars president Mark Lamping said that was the result of a "miscommunication" by the team and that the airport "had actually nothing to do with it". The away uniforms are just black and white (NO TEAL!).

The new uniforms were introduced with the tagline "The Return of Tradition", but these fail even in that respect. The all-teal combination, including matching socks, can only be worn during Thursday night games.

Top executive Tom Coughlin played a significant role in designing the throwback look for the Jaguars, who reached the AFC Championships last season.

The 2,000-square-foot area, operated by Pet Paradise, will open this fall in the south end zone and feature artificial turf, a pool and palm trees.
