Meghan Markle took full advantage of the warm weather as she made an appearance with Prince Harry in an ivory pinstripe dress and towering double-strap stilettos. And her bag, which she fashionably wore slung across her body, comes from Australia's own Oroton, where it sells for relatively more modest $295 (US$229).

And she nodded to the military trend with a double-breasted blazer draped over her shoulders, the Dimmer Blazer by Camilla and Marc, £491.

Markle and Harry are only a few weeks from the royal wedding, to take place on May 19.

It is unusual for someone who has not yet married into the royal family to be involved in a high-profile occasion such as the Chogm summit.

Prince Harry said earlier this week both he and Ms Markle were excited to listen to the young people of the Commonwealth for their ideas on how to tackle issue like climate change.

The pair, who will marry in Windsor on May 19, plan to support the Queen - the head of the Commonwealth - by taking a lead in Commonwealth youth matters.

Prince Harry wore a grey blazer with a navy tie for the Commonwealth reception.

Kensington Palace announced Harry and Meghan would also go to the commemoration service at Westminster Abbey later that day, and Harry would attend the wreath laying and parade at the Cenotaph in Whitehall.

There is a lot of speculation surrounding potential royal titles for Harry and Meghan but the top choices seem to be the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, the Duke and Duchess of Clarence and Avondale, the Duke and Duchess of Connaught or the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.
