Pep Guardiola warns Manchester City players: we can still blow title

Pep Guardiola has cast doubt over Sergio Aguero's fitness for Manchester City's title run-in.

City supporters, by and large, are not an overly optimistic bunch.

So after they received right here once more from two aims all the way in which all the way down to win 3-2 last weekend, denying Metropolis the prospect to seal the Premier League title, they put a model new slant on the time interval "noisy neighbours".

Guardiola seems to have caught the bug.

Should they fail to get one of them against Tottenham at Wembley on Saturday, United would then have the chance to eat further into their lead as they play on Sunday and Wednesday. In one week we lost three games, that happened.

"My feeling is now that United will win a lot of points because they are in a good shape and have top players". [In 2016], never before, in the National Basketball Association finals, one team recovered from 3-1 down.

And manager Pep Guardiola says the Argentina forward could not train after that incident, but pushed himself in an unsuccessful attempt to rescue City's European campaign in the final 24 minutes of the second leg against Liverpool. Had his team won the derby they would have been champions and moved 19 points ahead of United; instead, he knows Jose Mourinho will ensure a fight to the finish. "They can win all six, so we have to do it". It is in our hands.

Guardiola is concerned about the psychological effect that three defeats in a week might have on his players as they look to secure the trophy. It's not necessary to say that. Because if it was done they would not play the way they play. "The first test is tomorrow and we will try hard". After, we wait for the results of United but, if it does not depend on the results of United, it is in our hands.

"He played the last 20 minutes [against Liverpool] and after the game said: 'I can not run, I have a lot of pain, I can not run.' I don't know about Swansea [City, on Sunday-week] if he'll be ready but hopefully for the last games if we need him and especially for the World Cup". We handled the pressure between the good and bad moments for the entire season, not just in this period.
