Pinwheel Garden brings awareness to Child Abuse Prevention Month

The campuses from Abilene ISD, Wylie ISD, and Taylor County that raise the most money will be treated to an obstacle course, meal, and other entertainment at PrimeTime on April 20. Bailey says those crimes that children witness range from rape, domestic violence or abuse of another child - anything that brings trauma. Nearly half of the nation's children have been impacted by child trauma, she said. Together with people like you, we nurture the potential of kids, help people understand and improve their health, and provide opportunities to give back and support neighbors.

Child abuse, is becoming a bigger issue than some people think.

The governor will sign a proclamation for Child Abuse Awareness Month at 11 a.m. Monday at the Wyoming Supreme Court.

"Our agency is honored to work with over a thousand children every year", said Wade Bond, Executive Director, CAN.

The program is designed for organizations that serve children and for any individuals who are concerned about the safety of children.

"It's about living for each and every day on behalf of the most vulnerable children in our community,"Estrella-Henderon said".

The pinwheel gardens are our promise to the children of Delaware County that we are all working to make our community a safe and nurturing place for them and families to grow and flourish.
