According to Bill Oram of The Orange County Register, the Los Angeles Lakers signed Ingram, a 32-year-old guard from the G League, for the remaining two games of the season.

"It was excellent", Ingram said.

Rockets: Ryan Anderson missed his third straight game with a sprained left ankle.

Congrats Andre Ingram on your National Basketball Association debut. It was great. The group, the lights, it was merely as quickly as in a lifetime.

G League players are paid close to the national annual salary for their services, making it a survivable profession with a chance to turn it into a honeypot if called up to the NBA as a two-way player - getting compensated with NBA royalties during each of the 45 days a player is allowed to be with the NBA team.

"That's a testament to hard work, never giving up, and just sticking with it", said Julius Randle, who scored 17 points.

Paul, like many others, was in awe of Ingram's inspirational story, which went viral Monday. "I was supposed to leave the next afternoon I think", he said.

If that's the case, Ball will finish his rookie season averaging 10.2 points, 7.2 assists and 6.9 rebounds per game, while Kuzma will finish his promising rookie campaign with 16.1 points and 6.3 rebounds per game.

The 32-year-old is the all-time leader in the G-League in 3-pointers made, and is second in that league in games played. He once tutored teammates in math to make extra cash in the off-season.

Ingram was the Lakers' leading scorer at halftime with 11 points on 3-of-3 shooting in what was surely a lifelong dream finally coming true. He played four seasons with the now-defunct Utah Flash, five seasons with the Los Angeles D-Fenders, and has played with the South Bay Lakers this season.
