Jorgensen affirmed that it will offer players something entirely new and unique.

We expect to hear more about Anthem at this year's E3. Multiple maps? Check. Yeah, definitely a new Battlefield. "Anthem represents one way to deliver innovation and new experiences in the spirit of our mission". It would make sense if Wilson was subtly hinting at a beta, as something like that is specifically created to allow players to provide feedback after they participate in the testing.

"Every dimension of [Anthem] will offer something entirely new for a wide audience of players - from a new universe with unique stories that BioWare is creating, to the cooperative gameplay, to the epic and handsome environment that constantly evolves around players', EA boss Andrew Wilson told investors, following the company's latest financial results". Beyond just individual games, we try to create entire worlds that players can really live in, which span many games and media, as well as fan-created work like art, fiction, and cosplay.

Aside from the possible beta tease, EA also provided a more defined release window for the new BioWare game. It's expected to launch in March 2019.

In the case of Anthem, the real issue is, the game will be shipped in the last quarter of the year and in the last month of that quarter, meaning we'll probably have limited restocking of the title, even if it's extremely successful.

As for EA themselves, they saw console sales increase 28% over the last 12 months, to $2.2 billion, with PC up 1% to $697 million. EA also called attention to competitive growth in EA Sports titles, specifically calling out the Federation Internationale de Football Association and Madden franchises. The Sims and EA Sports franchises also saw impressive engagement numbers with 80 million and 90 million players, respectively.
