Programs will be held at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery and Hills Ferry Cemetery this weekend.

If you are interested in laying flags down on Saturday morning, you are being asked to meet at the cemetery at 7:30 a.m. Saturday morning. The public is encouraged to attend. The cemetery is located nine miles from Highway 95 on W. Dufort Road.

The cemetery is planning a Memorial Day service honoring American veterans on Monday from 2-3 p.m. Wednesday flags were placed at Park Cemetery and tonight flags were placed at Holy Cross Cemetery.

Hastings - Veterans Home: Beginning at 9 a.m. with a flag raising, the Hastings Veterans Home Memorial Day program will also include addresses from keynote speakers. His son, also an Eagle Scout, is a member of The Old Guard. Cemetery officials will provide the flags, although members of the community who want to bring or donate their own are encouraged to do so. "It's a good time to teach the youth of today to appreciate the freedom that they have and for those people who gave it to us".
