Gas prices were expected to rise ahead of the holiday, but reinstated sanctions on Iran could mean gas prices will climb deep into the summer driving season. AAA Mid-Atlantic is taking a wait-and-see attitude.

The average price in Michigan is $2.93 - 7 cents more than last week and 52 cents more than a year ago, according to Dearborn-based auto club AAA Michigan.

He added crude prices could remain stable if Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates make good on pledges to make up for any potential shortfalls.

Gas prices in Ann Arbor have risen about 4 cents per gallon; now averaging out about $2.96/gallon.

According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of gasoline is $2.81, an increase of 45 cents from a year ago. Although still four cents per gallon below the temporary spike reached last September after hurricanes Harvey and Irma, Chattanooga gas prices are approaching the highest price in four years.

Gas prices across Florida rose nearly 10 cents in the past week, according to a new report from AAA.

As of Sunday afternoon, the Colorado average was $2.72 a gallon, which is the cheapest in the Rockies region.

Las Vegas- $3.24/g, up 3.0 cents per gallon from last week's $3.21/g.

$2.00 per gallon in 2017, $2.01 in 2016, $2.42 in 2015, $3.48 in 2014 and $3.20 in 2013.
