The Cloud Clipboard is now available in Windows 10 Build 17666 for the Windows Insiders enrolled in the Fast and Skip Ahead rings. "With 135 million commercial monthly active users of Office 365 and almost 700 million Windows 10 connected devices, Microsoft 365 helps developers reach people how and where they work".

Microsoft unveiled its new cross-device content sharing app Your Phone during its developer conference this week, and it was one of the few new noteworthy consumer-facing highlights for the company.

Microsoft will be adding something new, a command bar flyout that basically will show you inline tools and options, making the access efficient while also saving the space at the top where such options are now present. The roamed text on the clipboard is limited to content less than 100kb.

Google stole the show this week with a keynote catering to developers and end users alike, but on the second day of Build 2018, Microsoft gave Windows 10 users a great reason to tune back in.

As announced at Build 2018, Microsoft has added support for Unix/Linux line endings and Macintosh line endings to Notepad, meaning Notepad now supports CRLF, LF and CR. "This exploit was detected by several AV vendors including Kaspersky, specifically by our generic heuristic logic for some older Microsoft Word exploits", the researchers say. Separately, Timeline is getting Sets, allowing users to pick up entire workflows where they left off.

Shadow effects and a simpler color system will also play major roles in the future of Fluent Design, as apps will have more depth in the future, making it easier to distinguish between apps and interact with the device regardless of which method you choose, be it on a standard monitor or through a VR headset.

Microsoft's latest Patch Tuesday issued a number of fixes for Windows issues.

After the "Your Phone" presentation, some developers and consumers wanted to know the status of the similar functioning Cloud Clipboard feature, especially since it was announced during Build a year ago and has seen little public engineering attention beyond a skeletal prototype offering in an Insider build last October.

Microsoft hasn't said how it's being exploited, but having this kind of vulnerability to hand is gold for cybercriminals, which is why it should also be on the immediate fix list for anyone running Windows 7.
