Xiaomi Redmi S2 is an upcoming smartphone by Xiaomi. Xiaomi is apparently casting the Redmi S2 because its selfie smart-phone to offset comparable offerings by domestic competitors like Huawei, Oppo, and Vivo. The latest claim has been made through an official Redmi S2 teaser that also flaunts the front of the upcoming smartphone. According to a listing on Aliexpress, Redmi S2 will come with a 5.99-inch HD display. It is expected to be available in colors like in colors like Grey, Pink and Gold. The Redmi S2 is expected to sport a 16-megapixel front-facing camera paired with AI Portrait mode, AI Beauty mode and a soft-LED flash for better photo capture in low-light situations. Alongside the pricing, the Aliexpress listing also highlights some of the key specifications of the phone. On the hardware front, the Redmi S2 is said to come with Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. The Redmi S2 will be receiving power from a 3,080mAh capacity battery. In the memory department, it appears the global variant of the Redmi S2 will only be available in a single configuration with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage. While the listing does not mention of any other variants, it's being speculated that the Redmi S2 will be offered in 4GB RAM and 64GB storage option as well. The Aliexpress listing reveals that the Redmi S2 will be priced between $165.99 and $193.99 which roughly translates to Rs 11,150 and Rs 13,040.
