Unlike prior years, adults are finally joining in on the festivities as Bruton Memorial Library unfolds two large summer kick-off events at the beginning of June. Participants can sign up and track the amount read either by minute for children and teens or pages for adults. Wednesday was the first time the Bonvillians attended the library's summer reading program party, and Ella's first stop was to grab a piece of chalk and start drawing animals on the park's sidewalk. The library will be offering many exciting programs throughout the weeks of Summer Reading.

The 2018 Summer Reading Program is open to youngsters preschool through age 12 with programs, storytimes, reading goals, and more.

Tanger Outlets Gonzales's May Mommy & Me program is from 10 11 a.m. Tuesday in Suite 151.

In addition, kids can complete an exercise log, sponsored by Adena Health System.

Each participant is invited to fill out a bingo sheet of reading activities.

The 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten Program is always open at Allerton Public Library District.
