The four-team Corvallis Regional will begin Friday.

They committed three errors - two by Mann, the second baseman - leading to four unearned runs for Florida State.

LSU was able to respond in the fifth inning with its lone run. Louisville could not respond with any runs of their own, and the 11-8 score would stand by the end of the tenth inning.

Playing in the program's fourth postseason conference title game under head coach Dan McDonnell, Louisville plated its first run of the game in the second on a RBI groundout off the bat of Oriente.

Relieving Detmers, fireballing sophomore Michael McAvene set up Louisville to have some ninth inning magic by finishing the eighth and tossing a scoreless ninth. The Cardinals offense roughed up FSU starter Andrew Karp for seven earned runs on six hits in three-plus innings, overturning what had been 5-1 deficit.

An inning later, Louisville gained its first lead of the day scoring four runs on a pair of home runs by Stowers and Britton.

"Throughout the season, we've been down and we've come back", Stowers said.

The cushion increased to 8-5 in the fifth inning on a RBI single up the middle by Wyatt. That regional is paired with Florida's regional.

Becca Schulte led off the inning with a double off the wall in right-center field and moved to third on a ground out. All in all, the Cards committed three errors, had two wild pitches, and allowed the Seminoles to stay in the game with some unforced mistakes. The others were Mendoza, pitcher Drew Parrish and DH Jackson Lueck.

The Tigers had runners in scoring position in the third. After Walljasper allowed a walk to open the inning, Jessie Warren hit a two-run home run.

The top eight seeds and regional pairings will be announced during the NCAA's baseball selection show Monday at 11 a.m. on ESPNU. The Tar Heels, Pirates and Wolfpack all found out later Sunday night they'll host regionals - N.C. State was very much on the bubble - and Duke will be headed somewhere as a No. 2 seed.
