The 2018 World Cup will kick off on 14 June and will run for four weeks across various cities in Russian Federation. The track will reportedly be released on Friday, and is thought to have been produced by Diplo. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Smith will join Nicky Jam and Kosovo singer Era Istrefi to perform the anthem.

"Nicky Jam and Will Smith are producing the new copa de futbol, they're doing it together", he said.

The best song? A lot of people think it was Ricky Martin's "The Cup of Life" from 1998.

The star had also hinted at the World Cup collaboration earlier in the week, tweeting a picture with the caption "The best of everything is the process".

Besides the Will Smith song, Jason Derulo and Maluma's "Colors" - the Coca-Cola anthem - is also expected to be affiliated with the tournament, which begins June 14.
