E3 2018: Halo Infinite revealed, but what is it?

Microsoft seems keenly aware of that and at their E3 2018 press conference, announced that they have purchased four studios and created a totally new one for a total of five in an effort to make killer Xbox exclusives.

Microsoft were consistently pull out shocks and nice surprises, including a trio of new Gears games.

There are a few more details on the blog of developer 343 Studios that give you some very brief ideas of what exactly Halo Infinite is. While the new trailer we got the chance to see looks attractive, there's no doubt Xbox One X owners should be excited to see the game running in 4K.

The full trailer shows a glimpse of the Master Chief himself, and there is some impressive landscape shots, hinting at an expansive environment. Not only that, but 343 said the game will undoubtedly change between now and release. The game releases with special enhancements for Xbox One X. For many years though, Xbox has been a multiplayer branded unit, at least generally speaking. The last time we saw a proper game in the Halo series was with the fifth game, Guardians, about three years ago.

Get ready to call your local pawn shop and annoy them with an outdated meme, because there's a new Battletoads game in development.

"We believe these teams have the collective creative power and operational excellence to deliver the next industry game changers". It is coming out in 2019.

Away from the game announcement, Microsoft also looped to beef up their existing digital initiatives.

Engineers at Microsoft are now working the next version of the company's Xbox console.

"We will join Master Chief on his greatest adventure yet to save humanity", said Xbox chief Phil Spencer after the trailer aired.

The future for the Xbox One, and Microsoft's gaming arm as a whole, hasn't been as bright as it is now after a massively successful.
