‘First Man’ Trailer Gives First Look at Ryan Gosling as Neil Armstrong

Universal Pictures has released the first trailer for First Man, the highly anticipated third feature film from Oscar-winning Whiplash and La La Land filmmaker Damien Chazelle.

The film marks the second collaboration between Chazelle and Gosling after their critically acclaimed musical La La Land (2016). The film is based on James Hansen's book "First Man: A Life Of Neil A. Armstrong". Ryan Gosling fills the role of Armstrong in the film, with Emmy-winning The Crown actress Claire Foy playing Armstrong's wife Janet. The one-sheet describes First Man, which chronicles the years leading up to NASA's 1969 Apollo 11 mission that put the first man on the moon, as an "experience" and an IMAX presentation. The first trailer is online.

Alongside Gosling, "First Man" also stars Pablo Schreiber, Kyle Chandler, and Jason Clarke.

Arriving on October 5 will be 20th Century Fox's Bad Times at the El Royale, Sony's Venom, Warner Bros.' She imagines her husband travelling 240,000 miles to land on the moon, telling her husband that it wasn't just another trip, adding that he isn't just "going to work".
