He took exception, however, to Bee's use of a crude term for the female anatomy to describe Ivanka Trump on her show Full Frontal on Wednesday, while discussing the president's controversial immigration policies.

Late last week, the First Daughter and official White House adviser Ivanka posted what seemed to be a rather innocuous pic of herself cuddling with her child. Those words should not have been aired. Last week, Samantha Bee spoke about Ivanka Trump on her late night show, and had some less than flattering remarks. "I crossed a line, and I deeply regret it".

Later, the TV channel also apologised to the viewers for allowing to air such expletives on their channel. "It was our mistake too, and we regret it".

"You know, Ivanka, that's a handsome photo of you and your child but let me just say, one mother to another, do something about your dad's immigration practices you feckless c***", Bee said in the week.

"Bee added that the president listens to Ivanka and said that she should 'Put on something tight and low-cut and tell your father to f***ing stop it. Tell him it was an Obama thing and see how it goes, OK?'" During her acceptance speech, however, Bee appeared to do the opposite - she instead defended her vulgar insults of the president and his family.

Although Bee has since apologized (likely to help keep her job), she's not done speaking about the situation. CNN reports that Bee is going to speak on the controversy this week on Full Frontal.

"Why aren't they firing no talent Samantha Bee for the disgusting language used on her low ratings show?"

Real Time with Bill Maher host Bill Maher seriously addressed the Roseanne Barr Twitter scandal, and even spoke on his "friend's" multiple personality disorder on Friday.

The argument, they claim, is Bee is no better than Roseanne Barr, who recently lost her show for making racist comments on Twitter.

On Thursday afternoon, amid the backlash, Bee apologized.

"A total double standard but that's O.K., we are Winning, and will be doing so for a long time to come!" he concluded.
