Millie Bobby Brown quits Twitter after she’s turned into ‘homophobic’ meme

On Wednesday, Brown deleted her account after the #TakeDownMillieBobbyBrown hashtag, which originally cropped up in November, resurfaced.

The "Stranger Things" star has strangely become the target of a homophobic meme which has now led to the the actress to delete her Twitter account.

Brown is public supporter of GLAAD's Together movement and has previously voiced support for Parkland shooting survivors.

She's taken on the Demogorgon, but Twitter trolls may have been too much. Also, in the same year, she wore an LGBT pin to the MTV Awards.

The memes started with a few that said the child actress ran over gay people at Pride and was happy about it.

Before her latest social media issues, the Inquisitr reported that Brown recently drew criticism over posting a picture of a moonlight kiss between her and her boyfriend, Jacob Sartorius.

The meme is thought to have originated as an inside joke from within the LGBTQ community.
