‘No relationship with their father is harmful’: Angelina Jolie may lose custody

The latest twist brings new heat to the ongoing custody battle, which began when Jolie filed suddenly for divorce from Pitt in September 2016.

The couple share 6 kids: 16-year-old Maddox, 14-year-old Pax, 13-year-old Zahara, 12-year-old Shiloh, and 9-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox.

Pitt has had only restricted, supervised access to his family. The allegations triggered multiple investigations, including by the FBI, that ultimately exonerated Pitt.

"It is critical that each of them have a healthy and strong relationship with their mother and father", the judge stated in the documents.

According to The Blast, a judge ruled that if she doesn't help fix her children's relationship with her ex, she could lose primary custody.

It may even "result in the court ordering primary physical custody" to Pitt.

ET has reached out to Pitt's rep and lawyers for comment.

The website claims Angelina can only call the children once a day while they are with her ex-husband; while the children will continue to see a therapist with Brad while in LA. Speaking about the split in February 2017, she said: "I don't want to say very much about that, except to say it was a very hard time and we are a family, and we will always be a family".

Additionally, the judge laid out a new cellphone policy stating Jolie must provide Pitt with the cell number of each child so he can text or call each of them at will and without Jolie monitoring the conversations. The court also forbid her from reading the text messages that Brad sends to his children.

"Angelina wanted the kids in Europe for the summer and Brad would not do that because he is filming in Los Angeles", the insider said, adding "Brad felt like he actually had a say" and that the court was seeing his side as well.

From June 27 to July 1, the actor's time with his kids is upped to 10 hours a day and a child therapist will be present. Jolie can not be present or attempt to interfere.

In late June, Pitt's access ramps up to 10 hours a day.

From July 21 through July 29, Pitt will get custody of the kids when he's back in California.

For now, Pitt is travelling back and forwards from London, where the children are doing school work in a trailer on the movie set.

Court documents obtained by Us outline that the five minor children (Maddox is essentially free to go with either parent because of his age) will split their time between London and Los Angeles from June 8 until the estranged couple's next court hearing on August 13.
