The Cube, which is available for purchase starting June 21, will cost $119.99. However, if you're an Amazon Prime subscriber, you'll be able to get it for $89.99 on June 7 and June 8 - so don't delay, order today!
With its infrared emitters, the Cube is also the only Fire TV device that can control a TV's volume and switch channels on a cable or satellite box. It even integrates with your cable TV box from leading providers such as Comcast, DISH and DIRECTV. And the device doesn't have the ability to communicate with bluetooth speakers, so, while the Fire TV Cube can turn the television into a music player, it stops short of managing other speakers throughout the home. While it makes little sense to put this specific device all throughout the house, it can replace a smart speaker in any room with a TV.
Available for pre-order today for $120 and shipping June 21, this set-top-box packs Amazon's refined Fire TV experience and places Alexa in the center of your home entertainment world, allowing the assistant to control your cable box and other equipment.More news: Jose Mourinho to give Cristiano Ronaldo number seven shirt at Manchester United
"We believe voice makes it easier for customers to control their entertainment systems and watch the TV and movies they care about", said Marc Whitten, Vice President of Fire TV. It will also read out responses to Alexa staples like questions about the weather and can be used to control smart home devices - light fixtures and video cameras, among other appliances - that are created to play nice with Alexa.
It pairs with Amazon Echo devices as well as with Fire Stick and has an interesting feature.

Heads up, fashion lovers: Amazon's $200 hands-free camera and style assistant Echo Look is now available to everyone in the U.S. who wants one.
Although it's always listening, it's not always recording what you're saying. Users can launch apps ("Alexa, launch Starz"), search for movies by actor, director, and genre ("Alexa, find drama"), control playback ("Alexa, pause the movie"), or even ask about the weather ("Alexa, what's this week's forecast") with voice commands. "And, it's just the beginning". However, the Fire TV Cube doesn't have all the smart capabilities as an Echo speaker, as it can't call anybody and it can't sync with other Bluetooth speakers.More news: Steve Bruce faces uncertainty over his future at Aston Villa
