Those still looking to secure their spot in the beta can pre-order Fallout 76 now at Mighty Ape.

Fallout 76 will release on November 15th, 2018 on Xbox One, PS4, and PC.

Bethesda simply answered: "Our current plan for the BETA is it will be the full game and all your progress is saved for launch".

There is no embargo on content for the Beta either, meaning players can stream, screenshot and record to their hearts content whilst they beta test the latest Fallout game. In other words, the beta is going to be Fallout 76 - you're just going to be able to start early, and hopefully help the developer fix any problems that (will most likely) arise. That seems a likely prospect, given that it would be somewhat hard to believe that Fallout 76 will never be available on Steam or elsewhere.

This is obviously big news, as Fallout 76 is effectively the first major Bethesda game to skip Steam. "The PC version of Fallout 76, for both the B.E.T.A. and the launch, will be available only via Bethesda.net, not on Steam", Bethesda told the site. However, the largest companies may increasingly be feeling that their games get enough publicity that they can host them on their own platforms without seeing a significant decrease in sales.

"I and members of the studio regularly lurk, and it's been great to read through your questions and feedback". Everyone who preorders the game will be invited to take part.
