On Friday, a week after Mac Miller was found dead of an apparent drug overdose, Ariana Grande took to Instagram to post a message about her former boyfriend of two years.

Miller, a Point Breeze native, was found dead in his California home from a suspected overdose on September 7.

Following last weekend's news, Miller's ex-girlfriend Ariana Grande posted a black and white photo of him to her Instagram page without a caption.

"I adored you from the day I met you when I was nineteen and I always will". We talked about this.

He continued: "I remember when I would get 30, 60, 90 days clean and Malcom would be there with a gift and a card and words of encouragement. telling me that he knew how hard getting sober is and how impressed he was that I was succeeding".

"Above anything else. I'm so sorry I couldn't fix or take your pain away". The kindest and sweetest soul with demons he never deserved. i hope you are okay now. rest'.

Back in May, Miller and Grande's romantic relationship dissolved after two years. Now, a week after his passing, Ariana is speaking up and sharing her heartbreak. We're so glad the singer has Pete Davidson by her side to help support her through this.

"She was deeply helpful and effective in keeping Mac sober and helping him get sober and she was all about him being healthy, period, in this area of his life".
