Now we've found out exactly what he meant by that - Ubisoft has unveiled the "largest ever Assassin's Creed Live content plan", which includes story expansions, in-game events, and, most notably, Assassin's Creed III Remastered. The first of these - "Legacy of the First Blade" - will arrive in December 2018, introducing the first assassin to wield the hidden blade and revealing more backstory on the Assassin's Order. According to details released by Ubisoft, the season pass content will start rolling out in March of 2019. Benedict Arnold Missions, Hidden Secrets Pack and Tyranny of King George. This will include a copy of both Assassin's Creed III Remastered and Assassin's Creed Liberation, and two additional DLC story arcs for the game, as well as a whole series of free content for all players, including free quests.
In addition to upgraded textures, a new graphics engine, updated gameplay mechanics, and more, the remaster will also offer 4K and HDR support for those on PC, Xbox One X, and PlayStation 4 Pro systems. Recurring In-Game Events: Each week a new epic ship or mercenary will appear and present players with challenging battles as they hunt down powerful enemies. Discovery Tour: This educational tool will let players explore the game world in a conflict-free environment and learn more about Ancient Greece's monuments, culture, and history. New Game Plus is also planned, with updates in the pipeline that will add mythical monsters to defeat, new challenges, and the ability to see how your various narrative choices impact the story.
