Activision and Treyarch have released the debut gameplay trailer for Call of Duty: Black Ops IIII's new battle royale mode "Blackout". Within the trailer, players can see several map areas, including the Hydro dam, the Nuketown island, the Cargo docks, and many others.
Activision and Treyarch will be holding a Blackout-specific beta later this month. And as you can see, there's a lot to do - and a whole bunch of chaos to cause.More news: Trump aide Papadopoulos gets 14 days in prison
The trailer runs just over two minutes long. You can check out the Blackout trailer below.
A big part of this will be down to the fact that Blackout now supports up to 80 players on a single map, which was a technical challenge for those behind the Call of Duty engine. Prior to the open beta phase for Battlefield 4, Activision revealed the full map for Call of Duty Black Ops 4's battle royale mode. This time, those that check it out get a look at the highly discussed Blackout mode that brings the popular battle royale game mode into the world of Call of Duty.More news: Serena Williams fined $17K for rules violations at US Open
The beta is set to kick off on September 10 exclusively for PlayStation 4 owners, as part of a private beta for those that pre-ordered the game. The Blackout mode stays true to Treyarch's promise to include land, sea, and air vehicles, as ATVs, helicopters, trucks, and tactical rafts are scattered throughout. The base Xbox One and PS4, alongside older or lower-end PCs may struggle to keep up the pace, although 60 frames per second will technically be "achievable", since the frame rate remains unlocked.More news: Obama Slams Donald Trump Publicly For First Time
