The Los Angeles Police Department released surveillance video showing two men burglarizing Puig's home last month and asked for the public's help in identifying them.

Investigators now say what seemed like a string of random burglaries targeting celebrities is part of a gang operation in which suspects picked the homes based on social media postings and celebrities' travel schedules. "The burglars believed no one would be home and that the homes would contain sought-after valuables that they might be interested in", she said.

Some of the stolen property included high-priced watches, handbags, jewelry and cellphones.
More arrests are expected, Lillian Carranza, commanding officer of the LAPD's Commercial Crimes Division, said. If there was no answer, the thieves would enter the home through a window or door and make a beeline for the master bedroom, she said.

Cops pulled the 19-year-old over and allegedly discovered things stolen from Williams' home in his auto. The most recent burglary of Puig also occurred during a game. The remaining three suspects have yet to be formally charged. The homes of dozens of celebrities have been robbed this year and last, including former Lakers guard Nick Young and musicians Wiz Khalifa, Post Malone and Alanis Morrissette. In another incident, almost $500,000 in valuables was stolen from the home of National Basketball Association guard Nick Young.
