59,392 of Brees' yards have come since joining the Saints in 2006. "I just play because I love the game and I love to compete and I love being part of this organization".

The record probably won't last for long given the state of the NFL's passing rules, but congrats - for now -Drew. Brees removed his helmet, held out his arm to salute the crowd and hugged his wife, Brittany, and children on the sideline.

Brees, who finished 26 of 29 for 363 yards with three touchdowns (he's now just one shy of 500 for his 18-year career), showed how potent the Saints can be when they have their full complement of weapons.

Brees completed 12 of his first 14 passes for 166 yards, leaving him 35 yards short of surpassing Manning's record late in the second quarter.

Brees had 12,238 passing yards as a member of the then-San Diego Chargers from 2001-05, but his assault on the National Football League record books truly began when he joined the Saints as a free agent in 2006.

In a victory at Atlanta earlier this season, Brees broke Brett Favre's career record of 6,300 completions.

An 11-time Pro Bowl player, Brees led the Saints to a Super Bowl during the 2009 campaign, earning MVP of the game.

In a season where sideline protests have reached a huge decline during the National Anthem, Kamara is one of the most powerful statements since Colin Kaepernick first explained why he was taking a knee during the Star-Spangled Banner. "It doesn't feel like it's been 13 years".

The game featured other touches meant to honor Brees.
