With the Google Pixel 3 on-sale in Australia on Thursday and a growing list of issues (all pretty much fixable with software), a Maintenance Release can't come soon enough. Unusual. A Twitter user named UrAvgConsumer was among the first ones to report about this notch problem. Reportedly, only a few Pixel 3 XL users are facing this notch issue. Well, what you see in the images above and below doesn't really obey that, especially that it's the Pixel 3 XL. Turns out that it's a real-life bug experienced by several users, including Jessie Burroughs, Kyle Gutschow, and UrAvgConsumer.More news: Whitey Bulger killed immediately after arriving in West Virginia prison
In developer mode, users can also add notches to the right-hand top of the screen and the bottom of the screen.
Thankfully, Google is aware of the problem, telling Android Police that a fix for the ghastly glitch is "coming soon". The problem appears to be fixed with a restart or by tinkering wth the developer settings, so luckily it's nothing too serious.More news: Kedarnath teaser: Sushant Singh Rajput looks fierce, see photos
