Selena Gomez Hospitalized for Emotional Breakdown

According to reports by TMZ, Selena Gomez was hospitalised twice within the past couple of weeks after experiencing a mental breakdown.

After being released days later, Selena had to be re-admitted last week because her low blood cell count persisted, and it threw Selena into a complete meltdown. When doctors told her she couldn't leave the hospital, the sources said she had an "emotional breakdown" and attempted to rip IV tubes out of her arm.

The 26-year-old singer, who suffers from lupus, underwent a kidney transplant in 2017.

Selena Gomez has entered a treatment facility in Los Angeles to deal with ongoing issues related to anxiety and depression. She's surrounded by close family and has a lot of support. There has been a virtual blackout of information regarding Selena for several weeks.

Following last night's news that Selena checked into an LA facility, a dishevelled Justin Bieber was spotted pulling up to church alone, dressed down in a hoodie, greeting a friend at the door.

Though it was unclear at the time what caused her to receive help, she later explained that it was her newfound lupus diagnosis and chemotherapy treatments that made her step away from the limelight. "Kindness and encouragement only for a bit!"

Before leaving social media, Selena did an Instagram Live answering questions from fans and said depression had consumed her life for 5 years.

Gomez was emotionally distraught for both hospital visits, TMZ says.

She may have been referring to being a target of negative social media comments when former flame Justin Bieber got engaged to model Hailey Baldwin very soon after splitting from her.
