Selena Gomez is now seeking mental health treatment after reportedly suffering an emotional breakdown.

Multiple sources tell TMZ, the 26-year-old singer was at her Studio City, CA home the last week of September when the first emergency hit. "After further monitoring it was decided that Selena would seek treatment at a facility".

However, this isn't Selena's first time attending a facility for her mental health, the star who is always open about how she is feeling, completed a two-week programme in NYC earlier this year, reportedly receiving "dialectical behaviour therapy".

We're told Selena was released days later but had to be re-admitted late last week because her low blood cell count persisted, and it threw Selena into a downward emotional spiral. When her low count continued into the next month, she reportedly was checked into the hospital once again.

Gomez allegedly tried to leave against doctor's orders, and even attempted to rip the IV out of her arm.

Gomez posted a video on Instagram in September stating that she would be taking a break from social media and reminded her fans that negative comments can hurt anybody.

Selena Gomez has been hospitalised after "emotional breakdown".

The "Wolves" singer, who suffers from the autoimmune disease lupus, is now being treated in an East Coast psychiatric facility. "She's doing better now and is seeking treatment on the East Coast". She's gone through it before, so it's not a completely new experience for the actor and singer.

Selena previously booked herself into a Tennessee facility in 2016 after she also suffered anxiety and depression during her Revival tour, Teen Vogue reports.
