"Once the screen is pushed down, the magnetic mechanism immediately kicks in and finishes the opening in a snap with just the right amount of force". Users can use it to take a self-portrait, open the app drawer, make a call, and do several other tasks by sliding up the slider. It harkens back to the days of old slider phones.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 has plenty to offer in the spec department, the device features a 6.39-inch fullHD+ (2340 x 1080) AMOLED display which gets up to 600 nits of brightness.

The main highlight of the Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 is the mechanical slider, which helps the company to offer higher screen to body ratio without compromising on any of the sensors. The Mix 3 also features Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 chipset, NFC, dual-frequency GPS, 4x4 MIMO, global LTE bands, and there's a variant that comes with 10GB of RAM. The 10GB model is a special edition Palace Museum model, in collaboration with the Forbidden City, Beijing, where the phone's launch event was held on 25 October 2018. Oh, and it also lacks a headphone jack, but at least Xiaomi is still throwing in a USB-C adapter for that. Those that opt for this edition will also receive a 10W wireless Qi charger and a collectible statue in fancy packaging. It was launched in Spain alongside the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite in July, and it was brought to India in August.

Before we get around to the phone's front-facing cameras, let's first talk about its rear-facing ones.

You'll need to pay 3,999 yuan ($575) if you'd prefer 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage.

With its dual PDAF setup, DxOMark Mobile remarked that the Mi MIX 3 has fast and accurate autofocus in all lighting conditions and it can deliver in-focus images each and every time. That will give you the baseline model that comes with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The primary 12MP wide-angle lenses have Sony IMX363 sensor with f/1,8 aperture and OIS.
