Ariana Grande went straight to the top of the music charts with her single "thank u, next" this Sunday night, but this Monday, she suffered quite a few mishaps during her first live performance of the hit song. However, the singer's rep has now told ET Canada the release had nothing to do with the "One Last Time" hitmaker.
Grande chose to channel the classic musical number from "The First Wives Club", wearing bridal white alongside her two backup singers to resemble the film's stars Bette Midler, Goldie Hawn and Dianne Keaton. Finally some great news has come her way since she will be recognized as Billboard's Woman of the Year at the 13th annual Women in Music dinner and gala in NY. "Holding hands with my mama", she sang, through tears.More news: Accused Mexican drug lord 'El Chapo' faces USA trial
Naturally, Grande recovered like the professional she is, righting herself while letting out a quick "Oh my God" before returning to the song, though she did let out another laugh before reaching the track's second chorus.
"Thank you for being here".
We loved how she and her girls simply marched up the stairs and off the set at the end of the number giving great attitude and girl power, but DeGeneres was on the stage waiting to chat with her.More news: Almost 5000 United States soldiers posted near Mexico border
It's not the first time this week Ariana has stunned us all with her creative presence, after she dropped a secret single, Thank u, next, about her failed relationships.
She also shared her mindset in relation to the track, writing, "no drags.no shade. jus love, gratitude, acceptance, honesty, forgiveness. and growth". Watch the performance below.More news: Britons would back 'remain' in new Brexit vote: Channel 4 poll
