With the help of her friends and backup singers, Victoria Monét and Tayla Park, Grande delivered a wedding-inspired, choreographed performance as the trio rocked all-white outfits. "Thought I'd end up with Sean/But he wasn't a match/Wrote some songs about Ricky/Now I listen and laugh/Even nearly got married/And for Pete I'm so thankful/Wish I could say "Thank you" to Malcolm/'Cause he was an angel", she sings. After surprise-releasing "Thank U, Next" over the weekend, and smashing a few streaming records in the process, she visited Ellen for the single's debut live performance.

Ariana Grande is still taking her breakup in stride. She finished the performance with a smile, and danced down the aisles of the set while the audience cheered.

Ariana graced us with a gorgeous song about love, loss and introspection, even giving fans plenty of meme material with the line "one taught me love, one taught me patience, one taught me pain".

Ariana has said there won't be any collaborations on the new album.

What's awesome is that even after the bombing at her concert in Manchester, the death of her ex-boyfriend Mac Miller by overdose, and the ending of her engagement to Pete Davidson, Grande has stepped forward instead of retreated. "I thought we were supposed to exit". In the song she calls him an "angel".

Yet, the superstar managed to complete the song and, along with her dancers, ran up the stairs of the studio at the end - much to host Ellen's surprise. Watch the "breathin" music video below and see if you can pick up any more thank u, next teases.
