Destiny 2 on PC Available as Free Gift This Month

Initially, the Opening Ceremony crowd live at BlizzCon booed Steve Cotton, but the atmosphere of the room did a complete 180 following the announcement. Activision and Bungie have announced that Destiny 2 is available to download for free on the PC until November 18th. The game will now be fully-playable on PC for free via Battle.net until November 18. If you aren't getting the gift notification, you can go here.

You won't get the Forsaken expansion, of course.

Additionally, all Destiny 2 players will have access to the Destiny: Forsaken PvP/PvE hybrid mode, Gambit from November 9-11 during a Gambit Free Weekend.

New Battle.net accounts created after 11:00 a.m. PDT on November 2 will be required to enable Blizzard SMS Protect before claiming their free Destiny 2 copy.

During the Destiny 2 gameplay reveal event previous year Activision confirmed this. Either way, you'll need to redeem the code through the official portal on the Destiny 2 page here.

Fans can download the game on PC via the Battle.net client. With everything that has changed since Forsaken has released this is absolutely the time to give Destiny 2 a try.
