Dez Bryant #88 of the Dallas Cowboys walks off the field after their 20-17 win over the Oakland Raiders during their National Football League game at Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on December 17, 2017 in Oakland, California. He was carted off the practice field and taken to get an MRI.

Despite the fact that he suffered a potential season-ending injury on Friday, Dez Bryant still found some time to send out a tweet.

Bryant's first practice came on Thursday and he admitted that he used most of that session to knock some of the rust off. But news broke earlier this week that Dez agreed to a one-year contract with the New Orleans Saints.

Payton said he spoke to Bryant before the draft and any interest was put on hold when the team drafted Tre'Quan Smith.

Bryant has indicated on social media that the injury will be challenging to overcome, writing on his verified Twitter account, "Things was just starting to heat up for me".

The Saints signed Dez Bryant earlier this week to bolster their receiving corps with a capable veteran, but Bryant's season may have ended Friday before it ever truly began in New Orleans.
