Hugh Jackman To Perform 'Greatest Showman' Songs Live On World Tour

According to Variety, Jackman is taking to The Today Show on Thursday morning to announce a revival of his one man stage show.

Jackman is probably best known for playing the role of Wolverine in the X Men franchise but he has also earned his first Oscar nomination for Best Actor for his turn as Jean Valjean in Tom Hooper's Les Miserables on the big screen. The Show. tour to Dublin's 3Arena on May 30, 2019.

On the tour, Jackman will perform songs from musicals such as The Greatest Showman and Les Misérables, as well as many more numbers from various Broadway musicals and films - all accompanied by a full live orchestra.

He won a Tony award in 2004 for his performance in the musical The Boy From Oz and starred in Baz Luhrmann's musical film epic Australia alongside Nicole Kidman.

Tickets for the North American shows go on sale to the general public Friday, Dec. 7, with ticket sales for the Salt Lake show opening at 10 a.m. MST.

Jackman will perform in Manchester and Birmingham before appearing for two nights at London's O2 Arena.

The Greatest Showman had particular success in the United Kingdom, with the showtrack spending nearly a full year in the album chart.
