Late Marcus Rashford goal gives Manchester United win at Bournemouth

Jose Mourinho said Manchester United's continual slow starts are whitening his hair after Marcus Rashford scored a late victor at Bournemouth. However, Mourinho had every right to do so as Lukaku has now failed to score in his last nine games for the Red Devils, while his hold-up play and overall performances have been below par.

Marcus Rashford scored deep into stoppage-time to secure victory for Jose Mourinho's side after Anthony Martial had cancelled out Callum Wilson's early opener.

Manchester United won consecutive Premier League matches since September and are now with 10 points from possible 12 in the past four league matches, beating Bournemouth 2-1 after another comeback.

Asked about his team talk at half-time, Mourinho continued: "I started off positive".

"I would like to answer that but it is hard for me to answer", he said. I think [he] was the impact in the team.

"In that situation, after nearly going 1-0 down after a couple of minutes, that triggered instability in the team. He was really good". And I feel really frustrated with that. United were run ragged by Eddie Howe's men in the first half who deserved to be in a handsome lead come the end of the first half.

Ander Herrera was that player. "So Herrera coming on had a big change on the game". "He was fundamental for us". Mourinho clearly has a spell over the teams managed by English coaches.

"No matter how bad that first half was, that second half we all believed we can go and win. We're going to win a lot of points that way, and a lot of other teams are going to gain or lose points that way".

"Normally the intention is to make attacking changes, but I felt the team needed a player like Herrera to give us that balance, win the ball faster and protect Ashley Young, so I was happy with that change and the team was much better and we created lots of chances".

"We can not give the first 25 minutes away".

"Even when we miss chance after chance after chance like we did in the second half they kept going until the end. And that is a fantastic quality for the team".

Juventus were by far the better side and welcome United to Turin on Wednesday night in the reverse Champions League fixture. "He seemed to sure things up, steady the ship a little bit and that allowed Pogba to do what he's good at". He needs these two days to see. After a big summer at the World Cup with Belgium, it appears some fatigue may be setting in for Lukaku who has scored 31 goals in 65 games in all competitions for United since arriving from Everton a year ago.
