You can check out the new teaser trailer for the next Far Cry, below.

Ubisoft is now in the business of spoiling its own surprises - a new Far Cry project is on the way, and it'll be properly announced at The Game Awards.

At the end of Far Cry 5 if you got the main, I suppose now canonical ending, a great big nuclear bomb erupts, killing numerous people in Hope County.

Tune into the Game Awards for the world premiere of the next Far Cry. "The flames devoured everything." - we get a glimpse of some suitably rusted FPS weaponry that seems to run on projectile circular saws.

Given the short time span between this tease and Far Cry 5, it's fairly unlikely that this title will be a full-fat Far Cry experience.

We'll just have to wait for the Game Awards to find out - alongside the rumored Crash Team Racing announcement.

This will also be the first Far Cry game to be a direct sequel to the last. No other information was given quite yet, but the publisher did release this teaser trailer.

It starts out on a shot of a barn, which somewhat resembles the rural American setting of this year's Far Cry 5.

It definitely looks to be an interesting twist on the series, and we are looking forward to finding out more tomorrow night.
