The Predator Triton 900 is a "convertible" with a touchscreen design slotted into a hinge design you'd more likely find on an expensive airplane tray table than laptop.

Specs-wise, there's nothing to be disappointed about on the Triton 900. It's a CNC-machined Ezel Aero Hinge that allows the 4K IPS 17 inch screen to flip, recline or prop near vertically. The display can be set just like a normal PC, or it can be rotated and set into tablet mode. Note the trackpad, which is placed next to the keyboard; this, Acer claims, should provide a more natural hand placement during gaming sessions. It's also amazingly thin at just 23.75 mm (0.94 inches). The laptop features 4K display powerful specs and costs $4000. Plus, it features an Xbox wireless receiver, so you can use your console's controller for desktop games without having to purchase an additional accessory. To round out the package, it features audio by Waves. It has a durable, all-metal chassis and narrow bezels measuring just 6.3 mm (0.25 inches) for an impressive 81 percent body-to-screen ratio. We were able to snag some hands-on time with the more traditional-looking laptop of the two, the Triton 500. Besides the RTX 2080 inside, the Triton 900 has an Intel i7 8750H CPU with 16 GB of RAM, and a pair of 512 GB NVMe SSDs in RAID0 for 1 TB of fast storage. It can be upgraded to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 GPUs which can be overclocked for some VR-Ready games.

Last, but not the least, both the Predator Nitron 900 and the Triton 500 come with support for the PredatorSense app to control the laptops via smartphones. These include controlling the fan speed, lighting, audio modes and processor clock speeds. It will also enable users to view and set customised macro key sets for physical hotkeys.

Acer Predator Triton 500 will be made available in North America and EMEA in February at $1,799 (approximately Rs 1,25,000) and 1,999 Euros (approximately Rs 1,60,000), respectively. Users can customize lighting effects for each of the abilities of their champion. It will come at a starting price of US$3,999 which roughly converts to around Rs, 2,79,300.
