Kingdom Hearts 3 Post-Launch Plans Include Epilogue and 'Secret Movie'

In confirmation, Kingdom Hearts 3 director Tetsuya Nomura stated that the post-launch epilogue will contain "the biggest spoilers" for the game. So, if you're desiring the full experience, the complete Kingdom Hearts III package, make sure your WiFi (or wired connection) is working and connected to your preferred console.

Square Enix has revealed the plans for the first three patches for Kingdom Hearts III. All we know is that players must have beat the game, seen the ending, and then fulfill some other hidden criteria during the game. While Kingdom Hearts III is set to launch on 29th January, the epilogue won't be added until 30th January. On January 31st, the secret video will become available.

The epilogue will be viewable to anyone who has finished Kingdom Hearts 3, while the secret video requires finishing the game along with various criteria that will scale by difficulty level. Players will need an internet connection to view the game's epilogue and secret video. The Memory Archive is a digest of the Kingdom Hearts story in the series up to this point. The Japanese release schedule is slightly ahead of the USA one.

Thursday, January 31: secret video. The game leaked online a few weeks back, but it seems Square Enix accounted for that possibility ahead of time.

None of the additional post-launch content is required to be able to play through the game, and you'll be able to play through Kingdom Hearts III in its entirety on launch day without connecting to the Internet if you choose.
