Lady being questioned after baby joyrides on automotive roof racks in Perth

A four-year-old child in his underwear was seen riding on the roof of a auto in Perth, Australia, on Friday.

A Perth child has been seen, wearing just a nappy, sitting upright on the roof racks of a moving auto.

Reported sightings of the Holden Captiva with the child on top suggest that the incident lasted around 10 minutes.

It is not clear whether the driver knew the child was on the roof.

Attempts by other motorists to alert the mother by flashing their lights and beeping at her failed.

But another said they "felt sick to the stomach" after seeing the baby on top of the auto.

She was given a summons to appear in court at a later date after she was investigated by police.

"The child seemed fine and looked like he was enjoying himself", a witness said.

It's believed the mother was unaware the child was on the roof of the moving vehicle.

Another said they felt "sick to the stomach" when they saw the child on the auto.

Police who are now investigating the incident, believe the mum got her child back in the vehicle after being alerted by witnesses.
