The new Smart rollable TV is named as LG Signature OLED TV R (model 65R9).

The rollable TV called Signature Oled TV R was unveiled previous year as a concept and looks like a huge sound bar that has the TV rolled out on its top. But though it's the most impressive display, LG's also showcasing its impressive rollable TVs, which have gone from concept to viable product.

"LG has created a TV with a display that uses revolutionary flexible screen technology that allows the screen to roll up and roll back out when needed", said LG. The W series in particular impressed us with its separate panel connected by a thin wire to the rest of the TV's electronics (built inside a Dolby Atmos-equipped soundbar), letting users simply hang a almost paper-thin screen on the wall. LG has something cool that you can do with the TV if you didn't want it rolled all the way out, with just the tip of the top of the TV popped out of its base acting as something LG calls "line mode".

The rollable OLED TV is 4K, but LG is still making the jump to 8K with two new, inflexible TVs.

Korean tech giant LG has unveiled a TV which lets families reclaim their living rooms - by rolling up like a window blind when not in use.

The LG OLED TV R is set to hit the market in the second half of 2019, with no specific date, expectedly at a premium price yet to be made known. The Smart TV from LG comes loaded with Amazon Alexa voice assistant and it also supports Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit. Even in Zero View, users can enjoy music and other audio content which emanate from the 4.2-channel, 100W front-firing Dolby Atmos audio system.
