Katharine McPhee shares a royal throwback shot of her with Meghan Markle

She's giving birth in a matter of months but that hasn't stopped the Duchess of Sussex from carrying out her royal duties. Meghan, obviously, because of her Duchess duties after that whole marrying-a-prince thing, and McPhee thanks to the reprisal of her role in the Broadway hit Waitress, which is opening in London's West End next week, according to E!

Prior to this, she tied her hair back in a neat-low bun with parted centre when she met the Irish President and his wife in July - which marked hers and Harry's first visit to Ireland as a married couple.

Meghan mania descended on City, University of London when she arrived to chat to scholars and academics from the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU), an organisation the duchess supports as patron.

While Meghan is best known for her TV work, especially her role on the hit legal series Suits, she did her training in theater and is a double major in theater and global relations from Northwestern University.

TLC have announced a one-hour special, Kate v. Meghan: Princesses at War?, which will feature interviews with a number of royal experts about the feud.

Meghan has a stage background having studied theatre and worldwide relations at Northwestern University, Illinois, and volunteered at a performing arts after-school programme for youngsters from underprivileged school districts in Los Angeles.

"Both did musicals together as a kid. one is now the duchess and the other is starring on the west end. basically the same life if you ask me", the singer and actress captioned the post, adding the hashtag #tbt.

Kroni Pacolli, 10, said after chatting to Meghan: "I'm speechless".

She also met fans waiting outside the university, hoping to catch a glimpse of the Duchess.

Told it was another Shakespeare play, As You Like It, Meghan exclaimed: "Oh that's so exciting".
