New Avengers: Endgame teaser trailer debuts during Super Bowl 2019

A new teaser for the March 8, 2019 release dropped during the Super Bowl on Sunday night and our new superhero is "higher, further, faster" than any of her Avenger allies.

Anna Boden and Ryan Fleck are directing the '90s-set Captain Marvel, with Samuel L. Jackson returning as a younger Nick Fury.

The highly-anticipated superhero adventure will bring Phase Three of the Marvel Cinematic Universe to a close, and is set in the aftermath of the devastating events of 2018's Avengers: Infinity War.

The first trailer arrived in December and showed off a desolate world following Thanos' triumph in Infinity War which saw half the universe disappear. What are your expectations from Avengers: Endgame? "We use all the material that we have at our disposal to create a trailer", Joe Russo told the Happy Sad Confused podcast in May.

Severely crippled by Thanos' pulverizing snap, the likes of Captain America, Black Widow, Ant-Man and War Machine enact one final plan to defeat the Marvel Cinematic Universe's most unsafe foe. The 30-second ad came hot on the heels of a new Avengers: Endgame spot, also aired before the Super Bowl. The first takes place as Captain America (Chris Evans), Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson), Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo), and War Machine (Don Cheadle) walk across a field. Avengers: Endgame is on the horizon and fans can't wait to see how earths mightiest heroes will defeat the mad titan, Thanos.

Luckily, fans don't have to wait much longer, as Avengers: Endgame hits cinemas in late April.
