While plot details are still kept under wraps, Johnson recently teased that the movie would feature "the biggest showdown the FAST & FURIOUS franchise has ever seen".

He said in December: 'We started talking about the potential of a spin-off really after Fast Five. "But who knows, with Fast 10 and down the road", Johnson continued.

Johnson and Statham's characters Luke Hobbs and Deckard Shaw, take center stage in the spin-off that focuses on their unlikely partnership.

It looks like Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham, the stars of Universal's upcoming epic action movie Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw, may have simultaneously punched and/or roundhouse kicked the Atlantic Ocean out of existence in order to make the film's first poster.

Seiuli Dwayne Johnson has posted his latest photo of himself and what he calls the Hobbs Brothers, referring to Samoa as "Western Samoa".

There's also unfinished business between Dom and Shaw, what with Shaw having killed Han, who was part of the Furious family - a factor the franchise has apparently completely forgotten for the time being.

While some may suspect the decision to stay out of the new film is actually down to the Rock's feud with fellow star Vin Diesel, Johnson claimed there was "no ill will" between the two.

You can check out the new Hobbs & Shaw still below! "It's definitely become much funnier than we intended for it to be, I think", the actor told EW. But that will be determined by the audience, I'm sure, whether it's good or bad [laughs].

Until then, The Rock will have to settle for appearing in every movie in the world - Fighting with My Family, Hobbs & Shaw, a sequel to Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Jungle Cruise, etc. - except Furious 9. And Furious 10 follows it up on April 2, 2021.
