In Toronto, he is expected to add depth behind Kyle Lowry and Fred VanVleet as the Raptors pursue the No. 1 seed in the Eastern Conference, now a game behind Milwaukee. Lin has never advanced beyond the first round of the playoffs.

Lin thanked the Hawks, saying they helped him "become myself again on the basketball court and allowed me to experience the joy of hoops again!"

Raptors center Marc Gasol scored 16 points, 11 in the fourth quarter, in his home debut after being acquired in last Thursday's trade with Memphis.

The veteran point guard's arrival in Toronto would boost the Raptors, who will be without guard Fred VanVleet for at least three weeks because of a partially torn ligament in his left thumb.

While Raptors coach Nick Nurse couldn't talk about the deal, Nets coach Kenny Anderson, who coached Lin in Brooklyn, did.

Lin played in 51 games for the Hawks this season, starting one, as he is averaging 10.7 points, 3.5 assists and 2.3 rebounds per game thus far. Can he be a valuable player for the Raptors down the stretch?

But Crabbe later hit back-to-back 3-pointers to tie the game with 1:34 remaining at 120. He has been part of three previous playoff runs, in 2013 and 2014 with Houston and in 2016 with Charlotte.
