Disney CEO Bob Iger announced Friday the company's entire library will be availabe on the new streaming platform, Polygon reported.

Looking to go on a serious Disney movie binge soon? After a film's initial release run, Disney would sequester the title in its vault for a long period of time. The Disney movie libraryDisneys movie library dates back to the 1930s and spans a significant number of classics such as Pinocchio, The Jungle Book, and The Lion King as well as more recent movies such as Frozen and Moana. If you didn't purchase a copy during that time, your options were limited to buying a used copy or renting a VHS/disc. All of these movies will be available to Disney+ customers, which is going to make them almost as influential as Netflix, except overnight.

Iger also confirmed that newer Disney movie releases will make their way to Disney+ within a year of being released in cinemas, so you can quickly catch up with the adventures of Captain Marvel and friends. This is in stark contrast to Netflix who debuts its own movies globally on day one or in a few cases nearly immediately after theatrical release. The Walt Disney Company and 21st Century Fox are about to become one.
