Renowned actress Bukunmi Oluwashina recently shared her journey of rigorous fitness training to embody the powerful characters of Kitan and Agemo in the highly acclaimed film, ‘Jagun Jagun’.
During an interview with Saturday Beats, Oluwashina revealed, “I understood the demands, especially for Agemo, the warrior. Upon receiving the script, I immediately dove into fitness routines. Juggling gym visits with caring for my daughter was a challenge, so I also worked out at home. This routine persisted for weeks before commencing another round of training on set.”
Oluwashina emphasized that the film’s message resonates deeply with Nigeria’s current climate. She expressed her excitement about the movie’s positive reception, attributing it to the impeccable production, encompassing talented actors, top-notch equipment, and captivating locations. She praised Femi Adebayo, the director, for entrusting her with these pivotal roles, asserting that his father, Adebayo Salami (Oga Bello), would undoubtedly be proud of his achievements.
